Series Overview

This six-part leadership program builds individuals capacities through skill-building exercises and group dialogue to increase one’s ability to serve and lead in organizations – and across their community.

Topics covered:

Servant Leadership:  Gain insight and learn practices of serving (self, others & community) as a way of leading.

Strengths-based Leadership & Self-Awareness:  Learn about your own strengths and how strengths help build trust, compassion, stability, and hope with others. Projects: StrengthsFinder Assessment, Individual & Group Reflection Exercises

Transformative Leadership & Communication:  Learn ways to engage others in creative and possibility-oriented thinking.

Building Servant Leadership Teams:  Develop personal and group practices that are foundational to building impactful servant leadership teams.

Frequently asked questions

Anyone – at any level – is welcome.  Small business, corporate, nonprofit, government, faith, etc.  This series builds individual leadership capacities.

The series requires a commitment to attend all six sessions during the scheduled series.  The program is designed for the learning from each session to build on content from the prior session.  Sophia uses a learning circle model for this program where the most essential ideas, “aha!” moments, and best practices come from the interaction between participants themselves, which can’t be replicated in a make-up session.

Actual “homework” is less than 1 hour per session.  The real homework is putting the concepts, skills and ideas shared in the class into action in your everyday personal and professional life.
