Virginia Gilmore, Sophia Foundress

In 2002, Ginny envisioned the possibilities of a more safe, kind and compassionate world if people could relate to one another with more understanding, compassion, and appreciation.

With the support of the Fond du Lac Area Foundation, she established the Sophia Foundation (now Sophia Transformative Leadership Partners).

Her initiative to serve comes from a family legacy of caring and a dedication to the greater Fond du Lac communities. In 2016, Ginny retired from the Sophia board and today, continues to learn about eldering.
