FABOH Workshop: Authentic Confidence

Leadership Workshops are in partnership with the Fond du Lac Area Businesses on Health, otherwise known as FABOH. Each leadership training workshop features a different topic and speaker to support employee engagement.

This series will provide quarterly training opportunities for all FABOH member employees but is aimed specifically at supervisors, managers, directors, or any other employees who currently lead others within their organization or aspire to in the future.

Authentic Confidence

Event Details:

Overconfidence repels while under-confidence stalls. Leaders and teams who exhibit appropriate levels of Authentic Confidence diminish unhealthy tension and conflict, while enhancing engagement, communication and team alignment.

Program Outcomes:

  • Increased self-awareness;
  • Move team members from inner critics to inner coaches, from inner coaches to outer coaches, and finally, to confident communicators;
  • Enhance individual relationships and team dynamics;
  • Boost communication to help the leadership team reach new levels of success; and
  • Create a coaching culture that increases overall engagement and trust.

DISC Model – Servant Leadership & Communication

Sophia Partners is partnering with Matthew Kosec Consulting, LLC to present the DISC Model – Servant Leadership & Communication workshop. This model classifies an individual’s behavior into four types (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness) by looking at their preferences on two scales:

  • Task versus People.
  • Fast-Paced versus Moderate-Paced.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to apply this powerful behavioral and communication tool to better lead, engage, and coach your team to drive sustainable results. The workshop includes: a free DISC assessment, how to interpret and understand your own results, and the role of adaptability in coaching and leading others using the DISC model.

Matt is a leadership development consultant based out of Plano, TX, and is certified in the DISC Model.

Dispelling the myth that servant leadership doesn’t focus on getting results.  

In this month’s Servant Leadership Community of Practice, Servant-Leader Essentials co-facilitators Christa Williams of Sophia Partners and Matt Kosec of Matthew Kosec Consulting will discuss the lessons they are learning working with servant-led organizations.   

Christa and Matt will share their insights on topics such as power, profits, people and results in relationship to the reality of servant-led organizations.

About this Conversation

Servant Leadership Community of Practice is a fully virtual offering for learning about your individual servant leadership strengths and learning new practices through small group discussion, facilitated conversations, and personal reflection. Bringing your lunch is encouraged! This event occurs on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CST via Zoom.
