This Month’s Topic:  Servant Leadership Lessons from CEOs. 

The secret is that we are all CEOs regardless of our job title.

In this community of practice session we will explore servant leadership through books written by three successful CEOs:

• Everybody Matters by Bob Chapman, CEO of Barry-Wehmiller
• Boomerang by Dave Skogen, former CEO of Festival Foods
• A Great Place to Work for All by Michael C Bush, CEO of Great Places to Work

Although these books highlight effective leadership practices and learning lessons from accomplished positional leaders, the reality is that you do not need to be at the top of the organization pyramid to implement servant leadership.  YOU already are a CEO!  You are the Chief Experience Officer, Chief Engagement Officer, Chief Empowerment Officer, and Chief Executing Officer of your work and life.

Through this lens, we will explore leadership philosophies and tactical practices for implementing servant leadership regardless of your job title as context for the learning conversations facilitated by Christa Williams, Sophia Partners Executive Director and Learning Facilitator.

About this Conversation

Coffee & Conversation is a platform for learning about your individual servant leadership strengths and learning new practices through small group discussion, facilitated conversations, and personal reflection. This event happens on the third Friday of each month from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. CST via Zoom.

Program Overview

Community of Practice sessions are amazing opportunities for any and all area leaders to gather and learn from each other. Through these monthly sessions, attendees build, share, and learn from others as a community of servant leaders.
