Board Bios: Meet Kim Schmitz

04.08.25 People

With over four decades in banking and a heart for servant leadership, Kim Schmitz brings both expertise and intention to every aspect of her life.

Currently serving as Vice President of Retail Branch Operations at Bank First, she’s spent the past six years with the organization and nearly 41 years in the banking industry overall.

One of her newest endeavors is joining the Sophia Board of Directors in January 2025.

Kim is deeply involved in the Fond du Lac community. She’s active in the local chapter of the Professional Women’s Connection and the local Home Builders Association, and serves on the board for the annual Empty Bowls event run by Envision Greater Fond du Lac’s Leadership Fond du Lac County Alumni.

At the heart of what she does is a philosophy of servant leadership—something she lives out both personally and professionally.

“To work with an organization who wants to take this philosophy out into the communities and companies to help develop leaders is very personal to me,” she shared. “I feel strongly that servant leadership is what helped me to be the leader, coach, and mentor I am today.”

Kim lives in Fond du Lac with her significant other, Eric, and has two grown children, Stephanie and Taylor. In her spare time, she enjoys shooting trap and sporting clays and spending time with her kids.

Please give a warm welcome to one of our newest Sophia Board Members, Kim!

Board Bios: Meet Stacy Shedivy

In January 2024, Stacy Shedivy joined the Sophia Board of Directors, continuing a journey that began more than 15 years ago when she was first drawn to Sophia Partners’ vision, its commitment to servant leadership, and the supportive community it continues to create.

For Stacy, this organization has shaped far more than her professional approach—it has become a way of life.

“Regardless of which hat I wear—consultant, volunteer, teacher, coach, or parent—I intentionally seek to serve better,” she reflects.

The principles of servant leadership, which she once thought of as a leadership style, have become a daily lifestyle. They encourage her to nurture her own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being so she can better serve others.
