Board Bios: Meet Sara Wild

29.09.25 People

A born and raised Wisconsinite, Sara Wild brings with her a passion for leadership, community, and connection.

As the Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist at C.D. Smith Construction, Sara uses her creativity and communication skills to help connect people and ideas in meaningful ways.

Leaning into a natural extension of her values led her to join the Sophia Board of Directors in June 2023. Sara attended many of Sophia’s events and programs and experienced firsthand how transformative they can be for leaders of all ages and stages.

“The principles of servant leadership have always resonated deeply with me,” she shared. “They’ve shaped how I approach both my professional and personal life.”

As a board member, Sara is excited to help Sophia continue making an impact on leaders throughout the community and beyond. Her commitment reflects not only her belief in Sophia’s mission but also her own dedication to lifting others up and creating spaces where people can thrive.

Sara and her husband, Chris, live in Theresa with their 12-year-old daughter, Harper, and a lively household of pets—two dogs, two cats, and even a leopard gecko. Much of her free time is spent at the hockey rink, proudly supporting Harper as part of the Beaver Dam girls’ hockey program. For Sara, the sport is about much more than the game—it’s about building confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of teamwork in the next generation of young women. Off the ice, she enjoys reading, gardening, traveling, and soaking up the beauty of Wisconsin summers.

Meet other Sophia associates + board members.
