Board Bios: Meet Stacy Shedivy

06.10.25 People

In January 2024, Stacy Shedivy joined the Sophia Board of Directors, continuing a journey that began more than 15 years ago when she was first drawn to Sophia Partners’ vision, its commitment to servant leadership, and the supportive community it continues to create.

For Stacy, this organization has shaped far more than her professional approach—it has become a way of life.

“Regardless of which hat I wear—consultant, volunteer, teacher, coach, or parent—I intentionally seek to serve better,” she reflects.

The principles of servant leadership, which she once thought of as a leadership style, have become a daily lifestyle. They encourage her to nurture her own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being so she can better serve others.

From her earliest Sophia gatherings in the lower level of foundress Ginny Gilmore’s home to now serving officially on the board, Stacy sees her involvement as a “dream journey.” She is eager to collaborate with fellow board members to help propel Sophia’s mission and inspire others to embrace leadership as a way of life.

Stacy and her family recently moved to Notre Dame territory after seven years in Chicago, IL, four years in Brussels, Belgium, and a decade in Sophia’s birthplace, Fond du Lac, WI. She and her husband of 24 years, Mike, are proud parents to Olivia (a junior at Indiana University), Graham (a freshman at Purdue), and Catherine (12). Their lively household also includes two dogs, Stella and Sugar.

Over the years, Stacy has worn many hats, serving organizations that range from Fortune 100 companies to international nonprofits in Belgium to schools and community organizations in South Bend, IN.

Upon moving to Indiana, she embraced new opportunities as a substitute teacher at St. Joseph Grade School (K-8) and as a member of Tri Kappa, a women’s service organization. In addition, she embarked on a new adventure as the Chief Marketing Officer for Elevate HR Solutions, LLC (a proud Sophia partner).

Outside of work, Stacy pours her energy into global culture and learning. She speaks six languages, loves to travel, enjoys food experiences, and coaches with the goal of shaping happy global citizens. She also finds joy on the water with her family aboard their Bennington boat (a nod to her husband Mike’s favorite pastime).

Looking ahead, Stacy has two personal goals she is determined to achieve:

  • Contributing to a reimagined U.S. healthcare solution
  • Authoring a book called, Parent as Servant Leader

With her rich experiences, global perspective, and deep commitment to Sophia, Stacy brings a unique voice and passion to the board—one that will surely help advance servant leadership for years to come.

It’s Not Too Late to Set Your 2026 Goals

Happy New Year!

If you’re reading this and think you already missed the boat on setting resolutions for 2026, let me stop you right there.

The truth is, it’s never too late to define what you want to achieve. Whether it’s the first week of January or the middle of March, the best time to start working toward your dreams is NOW.

One study identified that 88% of those who set New Year’s Resolutions fail, even though 52% were confident of success at the beginning.

Why? Because traditional New Year’s resolutions often set us up for failure.
