Topic:  Servant Leadership & Emotional Hijacking 

The learning and conversation this month will focus on what servant leaders do when they are emotionally hijacked!  An emotional hijack is when something happens that activates the fight-or-flight response in our brains and bodies.  Not only will we explore what happens when we become hijacked but how to help someone else when it happens to them.  Self-awareness, self-regulation, and empathy are key!

We may not be able to prevent an emotional hijack from coming over us.  However, there is a way to recognize when it is happening and help it from taking over our ability to think clearly.  Join us as we explore:

• What is an emotional hijack?
• Why does it happen?
• What and who triggers you?
• How the practice of Emotional Intelligence helps us overcome emotional hijack!
