Servant Leadership Community of Practice
This month’s topic:
The Link between Play, Renewal, Energy, and Servant Leadership
Accessing the abundant energy required to be a good servant-leader.
When you think of summer, do you think of fun, play, and the good times often associated with childhood? Did you remember using your energy and imagination to create and have fun?
In this month’s Servant Leadership Community of Practice, we will discuss the importance of play and renewal for accessing the energy and creativity required to be a good servant-leader.
“Most of us don’t trust play and renewal as an important resource for balance, personal energy, and visionary leadership.” ~ Ann McGee-Cooper
Using small and large group discussions with peers, attendees will explore key learning lessons from the research and teaching of Ann McGee-Cooper’s KidSpirit to focus on:
- Understanding the link between play, renewal, energy, and being a good servant leader.
- Accessing the joy and energy of childhood as the foundation for joy and energy in adulthood.
- Breaking the negative work spiral in order to free ourselves to fully serve others.
This session will be facilitated by Christa Williams, Sophia Partner’s Executive Director and Learning Facilitator.
*The session will be recorded.
