SUMMARY:Servant Leadership Community of Practice
DESCRIPTION:This month’s topic: Leading (Servant Leadership) Teams\nWho’s on your team? Your mind might go right to the workplace. Often in today’s organizations we talk about team-building\, team development\, and teamwork. If we stop and consider what teams we are on\, we have many in addition to those in the workplace…family\, friends\, social\, and community.  \nYour role as a member of a team\, whether that be as a positional leader or member\, is essential to elevating that team to be a ‘servant leadership team.’ In this session we will look at the topic of leading (servant leadership) teams by: \n\nSeeing ourselves as the leader (the servant-leader) on many teams\, not just in the workplace;\nDiscussing the essential practices of workplace teams and your role as leader and follower;\nOrganizational flaws when creating workplace teams from the lens of Robert Greenleaf;\nOpportunities to strengthen teams by creating the conditions for friendship in the workplace.  \n\nThis session will be facilitated by Christa Williams\, Sophia Partners Executive Director and Learning Facilitator\, using small and large group discussion of the topic. \nAbout this Conversation \nServant Leadership Community of Practice is a fully virtual offering for learning about your individual servant leadership strengths and learning new practices through small group discussion\, facilitated conversations\, and personal reflection. This event occurs on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CST via Zoom. \nProgram Overview \nCommunity of Practice sessions are amazing opportunities for any and all leaders to gather and learn from each other. Through these monthly sessions\, attendees build\, share\, and learn from others as a community of transformative leaders. It’s highly interactive and each month a different servant leadership topic is explored. Learn more about the Community of Practice program here!

SUMMARY:Women's Leadership Conference
DESCRIPTION:Women’s Leadership Conference is a two-day event in Green Bay\, WI that equips women with actionable strategies to overcome the hurdles we often face in the workplace. \nThis isn’t your typical women’s conference. This is that space\, this is that community. \nVisit the website for registration\, speakers\, and more! \nThe Women’s Leadership Conference was created by Vicki Updike\, founder of New Sage Strategies LLC\, a company dedicated to the development of effective leaders. The conference is an all-day professional development and networking conference created to provide a platform outside of the workplace to educate\, encourage and inspire women to take their careers to the next level. Our purpose is to empower our attendees by creating a community dedicated to helping each other build and enhance amazing careers.

SUMMARY:Servant Leadership Community of Practice
DESCRIPTION:This month’s topic: Thirsty for wonder…hungry for curiosity\nWhat gets in the way of wonder and curiosity for you? How do we deal with times when you know in your body and mind that something is disturbing you? \nRobert Greenleaf observed and wrote\, “Awareness is not a giver of solace—it is just the opposite. It is a disturber and an awakener.”  \nAs leaders\, we often find ourselves in situations that do not feel safe. Maybe others are looking to us for answers and there doesn’t seem to be one. Maybe something happened to us or around us that is causing us to feel disconnected from our values or what we really care about. Maybe\, we are facing a personal loss or trauma.  \nRegardless\, many people can name a time when they were starkly aware in their mind and body that something doesn’t feel right.   \nHow do we move forward as leaders from a place of fear or trauma and open up space within our mind and body that allows curiosity and positive energy to start flowing again?   \nIn this session Caroline Coughlin Lampereur will walk through processes from bringing more curiosity and wonder into our mind and body when we find ourselves feeling stuck or disturbed. \n  \nAbout this Conversation \nServant Leadership Community of Practice is a fully virtual offering for learning about your individual servant leadership strengths and learning new practices through small group discussion\, facilitated conversations\, and personal reflection. This event occurs on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CST via Zoom. \nProgram Overview \nCommunity of Practice sessions are amazing opportunities for any and all leaders to gather and learn from each other. SUMMARY:Servant Leadership Community of Practice
DESCRIPTION:This month’s topic: Leading with Gratitude\nTransforming holiday overwhelm into overjoy. \nHere they come…the holidays! Thanksgiving\, Hanukkah\, Kwanzaa\, St. Nicholas\, Christmas\, New Years and more! Not only are the holidays a time to spend with those we care about most\, the holidays can also be a time when we find too much on already full personal and workplace plates.  \nThe antidote to a full plate is finding moments of reflection\, gratitude and genuine connection with others that can transform overwhelm into overjoy.  \nResearch shows that gratitude should not be something done once a year around the Thanksgiving table. Leading with gratitude everyday helps individuals feel happier\, have an improved sense of wellbeing\, higher self-esteem\, have less depression and anxiety\, and even sleep better.  \nThrough small group breakout sessions\, large group discussion and individual self-reflection\, facilitated by Sophia Partners Executive Director and Learning Facilitator\, Christa Williams\, we will: \n\nExplore and find gratitude for all that “we carry”\nDiscuss the research on leading with gratitude\nIdentify and commit to gratitude best-practices \n\n  \nAbout this Conversation \nServant Leadership Community of Practice is a fully virtual offering for learning about your individual servant leadership strengths and learning new practices through small group discussion\, facilitated conversations\, and personal reflection.
